Description Position Objective The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a limited range of parish administrative functions as laid out below. Administrative Assistant is a non-supervisory position and is responsible for performing a significant amount of technical work in addition to administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Pastor or Parish Administrator. This position is part time 20 hours a week. This position will split time between St. George and St. Jude parishes. Essential Functions Track and schedule all parish maintenance. Research new parish services as needed (ex: phone, internet, etc.). Oversee parish hall rentals and coordinates the use of other physical spaces needed for the mission of our parish. Help direct parishioners and visitors to staff and volunteers who can aid their journey of holiness. Prepare the weekly bulletin. Send out weekly parish communications (i.e. Flocknote). Aid the pastor in any other needs he has. Maintain parish registration database. Orders office and janitorial Supplies. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Make timely, well-reasoned decisions; intelligently analyze issues and balance fact-based analysis with intuition, information, and experience. Demonstrate trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions. Use strong verbal and written communication skills. Promote a sense of collaboration and teamwork with the Parish community. Basic Qualifications Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
