YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Our Community Development group is seeking a full-time, highly motivated, and adaptable Administrative Assistant to join our Edmonton office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a group of multidisciplinary professionals to help support the operations of the business center.

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

You are an effective “team player” who has an ability to work with little or no supervision, multi-task and have the ability to work effectively in an environment with competing priorities and confidential/sensitive issues. As a self-motivated individual, you excel at working independently and also enjoy a team environment.

Additional qualification details include:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and presentation support tools, specifically Excel (intermediate/advanced), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience and ability in learning and adapting to programs and processes quickly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of how to create, maintain and retrieve information quickly and effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills, including proofreading skills and typing accuracy.
  • Previous exposure to projects in the AEC services sector is desirable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma
  • The ideal candidate for this role is a recent graduate from a designated post-secondary institution who possess an administrative related diploma/degree/certificate . Previous intern experience working in a professional consulting environment would be considered an asset.
    Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating meeting rooms, organizing catering, and handling special requests.
  • Performing clerical duties including, inter office mail distribution, arranging couriers, completing data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
  • Assisting with document formatting and editing.
  • Monitoring weekly timecard submissions.
  • Processing expense reports.
  • Recording and distributing Invoices.
  • Assisting with office equipment inventory management and setting up workstations.
  • Coordinating travel itineraries and arrangements.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.
