Description Position Summary The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and project coordination support to the Deputy Center Director to ensure DOL and center deliverables, internal and external communications, and special projects in relation to the programs department are accomplished in a timely manner with quality and accuracy. Essential Functions Provide administrative support to accomplish tasks with a center-wide impact or to support center or corporate deliverables. Provide routine administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing correspondence, greeting visitors, filing systems, printing, faxing, scanning, ordering supplies, and mail management. Schedule appointments and maintain calendars. Generate department and center related reports. Plan specific department or center related activities and events. Compose memos and departmental documents upon request; may review, proofread, and edit documents as assigned. May serve as a liaison with other departments on basic administrative and/or operational matters. Resolve routine administrative problems and answers inquiries concerning activities and operations of department. Participate in department meetings and all mandated PRH and Strategix training. Provide exceptional customer service to staff and students. Greet visitors and guests Serve as a positive role model to students. Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property and adhere to safety practices. Promote a harassment-free environment. Utilize information systems and handle student data in strict adherence to Job Corps and Strategix policies to protect student’s personally identifiable information (PII) and reduce network security threats. Requirements Qualifications and Experience Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to work independently and use good judgment. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and written/verbal communication skills. Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 50 wpm. Extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Preferred Associate’s degree in business or related area of study. Three years related business office experience. Experience working with youth.
