Start Date: April 21, 2025
Contract: 16 weeks, Full Time, 30 hours/wk- Total 480 hrs
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Number of Positions: 1 for each start date
Salary: $17/hr

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-Secondary degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Social Work, Psychology, etc.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with the non-profit sector and a heart to help people with developmental disabilities
  • Must be fluent in oral and written English. Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin or any second language is an asset
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Familiarity with common technological devices and softwares such as Google Apps, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • All staff are required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of hire. Candidates will be required to show proof of vaccination during the recruitment process.
Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties related to the various Programs including responding to client and community inquiries via phone and email, greeting visitors, scheduling intakes and classes, sending and filing enrollment forms, sending invoices, creating attendance sheets, writing parents notices, booking rooms, organizing program materials, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the Service Manager and Executive Director in areas related to organizational development and outreach including working with spreadsheets, data entry, filing, organizing digital workspaces, updating websites and social media, marketing materials, flyers, agency forms, etc
  • Provide administrative support for Special Events, including fundraising, outreach, and outing events. Tasks include scheduling meetings, taking detailed meeting minutes, organizing catering and venues, liaising with the project committee or partners, organizing documents and forms, purchasing materials, and providing administrative support on the day of the event.
  • Support administrative needs related to fundraising including creating fundraising packages and letters, contacting sponsors and donors, purchasing materials for funded projects, managing budget and receipts, etc.
  • Attend and participate in supervisory sessions
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings
  • Any other assignments as instructed by the supervisor
