POSITION SUMMARY:

This Administrative Assistant position is located at the Junction City Area Office. This position provides clerical support for the Construction Office through receptionist duties, data entry, filing and various other assigned duties. The Administrative Assistant serves as assistant and backup to the Area Office Manager and will provide support to the Construction Engineer by researching, reviewing, and composing documents that are vital to project processes and finalization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six months of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support work.
  • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.
  • Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer experience.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Composes, reviews, and proofreads construction reports, correspondence, project forms, engineering papers, and associated paperwork to ensure project and contract information accuracy.
  • Obtains information from various sources to research, review, and prepare the documents that are necessary for preconstruction meetings and project processes.
  • Enters data, runs, reports, and assists with supplies and inventory.
  • Processes payments.
  • Front desk reception duties.
  • Employee and equipment time entry.
