QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of high school diploma/post secondary education preferred
  • Five years’ experience in a related job area
  • Proficient in the use of all office equipment
  • Computer experience with a high level of proficiency with word processing, database management, and other software as needed.
  • Possess the qualities of efficiency and organization
  • Demonstrate a high degree of independence and initiative
  • Possess a high level of interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and conflict management
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
    REPORTS TO: Building and Grounds Coordinator
    PURPOSE: To enhance efficiency and achievement by assisting Department Coordinator in efficient operation of the school district central maintenance office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a high level of ethical and professional behavior and confidentiality with regard to student matters and all other confidential school business.
  • Ensuring that all correspondence and documents are prepared in a professional and timely manner.
  • Typing and/or filing pertinent material as requested by administrator.
  • Assisting principal/administrator in the development, generation, and monitoring of the school budget, state grants, grant evaluations and other required forms.
  • Greet visitors in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Assist aides and secretarial help by providing appropriate instruction and training.
  • Perform any task relevant to the job description that may be assigned by the principal/ administrator.
  • Communicating with parents, community and school personnel in a professional manner.
  • Following district policies and procedures.
  • Performing general/building specific clerical and supervisory tasks.
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND EVALUATION: Wages, length or work day/week/year, terms of employment and evaluations will be in accordance with the provisions of the negotiated contract.
