WHAT YOU’LL BE CHALLENGED TO DO:

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Monteo, NC office. This person will provide administrative and office support activities for the NCDOT Construction Resident Engineer Office in Manteo, NC.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Function independently and possess good communication skills (both verbally and written).
  • Operate a computer to include Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Data entry relating to construction project records and samples, (SAP, HiCAMS, SharePoint).
  • Review Certified Payrolls from contractor to ensure accuracy.
  • Compose, review, wordsmith, and ensure congruence with new and existing resumes.
  • Represent NCDOT in initial on-premises contact providing routine information and direction to callers and visitors.
  • Receive and relay incoming calls and takes.
  • Direct calls of a general nature to the proper.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as typing and filing.
  • Interact with clients and vendors, and collection of information for invoicing.
  • Enter values into software for employee reimbursements.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematical functions.
  • Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
