Starting Pay: $16.00 an hour Who We Are: Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc. The agency consists of multiple programs that are created to empower people in Halifax, Charlotte and Mecklenburg Counties of Southside Virginia. Through collaborative efforts, engaged staff and partnerships, Tri-County is able to further our mission to eliminate the violence of poverty through advocacy, empowerment and self-sufficiency. What We Are Looking For: The Administrative Assistant should possess good organizational knowledge, skills and abilities to function in a professional manner and interact well with peers and customers. The Administrative Assistant is expected to maintain a caring and empathetic attitude toward individuals in need. The employee will strive to work as a member of the team and will make every effort to work effectively with the entire staff to serve the needs of the community. What You Will Do: Greet and direct visitors to appropriate staff members. Provide general support to visitors regarding their inquires. Handle sensitive information in confidential manner. Schedule and coordinate meetings when necessary. Perform general clerical duties to include filing, typing, copying, and other administrative duties as assigned. What We Are Seeking: High School diploma or GED is required. Minimum of two years of experience. Excellent communications skills (written and verball). Proficiency in Microsoft Office strongly preferred. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task. Possess a valid driver’s license and submit to a background check.
