Description
The Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition in the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking an Administrative Assistant to manage overall office operations and ensure efficient functioning across academic programs. The role will provide support for the Department Chair, faculty, finance manager and staff. Responsible for maintaining the department wide calendar, organizing and scheduling department events and meetings, drafting communications, coordinating updates for the department website, taking minutes during meetings, developing surveys, and other communications tasks. Communicate with program directors to assist with program administration. Support faculty academic needs for classes and labs; schedule usage of laboratories and classrooms. Greet SMN students and other visitors upon entrance. Communicate with Dean’s Office to coordinate school, building, and department administration. Respond to administrative/academic requests as a liaison to the dean’s office and department faculty leadership. Experience with University systems such as Concur and PantherExpress preferred. Associate's is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of the degree. Experience with Concur and Panther Express preferred. Attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
