OVERVIEW
This role reports to the Manager, Organizational Quality & Safety and is responsible for the database management of RLDatix. Database management activities include managing all data from incident reporting (including critical/severe incidents, privacy related incidents) as well as information regarding feedback brought forward to Patient Relations. The incumbent will also coordinate the organization’s response to medical-legal liability and property issues. This response includes handling aspects of claims management including (but not limited to) processing insurance claims, legal record keeping, coordinating communication with insurance adjusters and representatives as well as legal counsel and hospital staff.
The administrative coordinator makesoptimal use of existing business systems and provides recommendations to continuously improve the work of the department. They provide expertise on practices, systems and tools and ensure all information is tracked, reported and managed effectively.
This role will also provide administrative support for incident reporting by individual areas within the hospital and may provide administrative support to the portfolio as required.
