Description
The Administrative Coordinator provides professional administrative support to the College of General Studies leadership team. Coordinates faculty actions and serves as a liaison between CGS, Dietrich School departments, the Dietrich School Dean’s Office,the Dietrich School Payroll Team, and various University offices. Assists with the development of the CGS course schedule, monitors program and enrollment trends, and maintains academic documentation and databases. Coordinates online course development proposals/contracts and maintains resources and documentation related to online teaching. Collaborates with the Office of the University Registrar, Center for Teaching and Learning, Dietrich School departments and programs, and other undergraduate schools on the Pittsburgh campus. Provides comparable service and back-up to Dietrich School departments as needed. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in support of a diverse community are required. The successful candidate will be highly organized, attentive to detail, skilled in time management, comfortable learning, and using different technologies. Candidate must have the ability to think critically, work independently, and maintain confidentiality. Associates degree preferred. Experience accepted in lieu of the degree requirement.
