The Administrative Coordinator of Student Services plays a key role in managing the daily operations of the Student Services Office and providing administrative support to the Directors of Student Services. This position serves as a primary point of contact for student inquiries and office coordination, while also supporting student engagement initiatives, recruitment and yield efforts, and student communications. The Administrative Coordinator works independently on day-to-day tasks, exercises sound judgment in office operations, and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of programs, events, and communications that support student success and enhance the student experience.
The Administrative Coordinator will be a highly organized and proactive professional with an understanding of university policies, practices, and procedures, and the ability to apply fundamental concepts in a dynamic student services environment. They will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, identifying and addressing issues independently while also collaborating effectively as a contributing team member.
This is a full-time position with access to the University’s comprehensive benefits plan. The Administrative Coordinator will maintain a 4/1 hybrid work modality and will have an office on BU’s Charles River Campus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior work experience in higher education is a plus.
  • An understanding of the lifecycle of student records.
  • Prior experience with BU’s software stack including Concur and Ariba is a plus.
    Work Modality: This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with four days onsite at BU Wheelock and one remote day per week.
    Compensation: The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $51,000 annually. This range is based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and the overall scope of the role. Please note that the final salary offered may vary depending on these factors.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to special projects, initiatives, and administrative tasks that support the evolving needs of the Student Services Office and BU Wheelock, including cross-functional collaboration, process improvements, and other assignments consistent with the scope and objectives of this role.
