Description Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Emergency Services (RN) for a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role is responsible for the overall administration, service excellence, growth, personnel leadership, and resource management of Emergency Services, including the main Emergency Department, Free Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs), Emergency Management, and inpatient hold units as assigned. The Administrative Director ensures consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered emergency care while advancing departmental performance, staff engagement, and operational effectiveness. Job Responsibilities: • Identify real and potential problems impacting Emergency Services and implement effective solutions with follow-through and clear communication • Participate in service-line, departmental, and hospital-wide committees as assigned • Advance the patient experience agenda within Emergency Services • Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to direct reports; support individual development plans and document performance • Ensure adherence to all Human Resources policies • Communicate departmental, organizational, and industry updates to staff • Facilitate evidence-based employee engagement practices • Build strong internal and external relationships to achieve departmental and organizational goals • Participate in employee and patient rounding and mentor emerging leaders • Enforce Emergency Department standards of care and develop processes to measure and ensure compliance Additional Department Information: • Community hospital setting • 364-bed facility with planned expansion over the next ~3 years • Emergency Department includes 48 ER beds, 9-bed fast track, and expandable hallway beds • Trauma Level II facility • High-volume, high-acuity department (Level I & II traumas, large stroke volume) • Oversight includes two Free Standing Emergency Departments and inpatient hold unit • EMR: Meditech Compensation & Benefits: • Salary Range: $156,025 – $175,000 • Incentive Bonus: 17.5% – 26.25% • Relocation Package: – $15,000 lump sum – Additional $10,000 for household goods (owners) – Renters receive $5,000 less on each amount Requirements Education & Licensure: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required • Active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas required Experience: • Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Services experience required • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience required Certifications: • ACLS required • PALS required • CEN preferred • TNCC preferred Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
