Job Description Take the leadership roles in managing the branch administration that is essential to support the overall business and operations at the assigned branch / territory, where the branch should be well-managed in terms of operation efficiency and cost effective. Lead branch in embracing changes based on the business direction and in accordance to the standard operating procedures, industry standards, SGS standards or policy directives. Establish shared services structure where possible to enhance productivity and efficiency hence achieving cost savings and synergies. Manages the overall Branch administration, Sales Marketing, HSE, COI and good housekeeping. Ensure the feasibility and successful delivery of the Inspection, Verification, Testing and Certification services in meeting the customers’ legitimate requirements and local authority compliance. Manage the day-to-day Branch Administration and coordinate with Head of respective business activities at the branch to ensure operation efficiency. Ensure effective customer services / front-desk support to the business within the branch in meeting the customers’ legitimate requirements and business needs with the technical support from the respective business unit. Take the leadership roles in oversee the entire Branch operations of the branch in term of the management with the technical support from the respective business unit but always practice the ‘multi-business’ concept so it will support whatever inspection and testing requirement that the branch operation and lab can possibly offer to other business unit including samples from other branches etc. Prepare to support other branches operationally where possible. Take the lead to organize, educate and supervise all personnel (dept managers/executives/supervisors, sales, back-office, lab, field etc.) in embracing the new culture and spirit of ONE TEAM concept with the ultimate goal for all personnel at branch and sites to work cross business for the benefit of the branch’s productivity, efficiency and growth. Identify and introduce improvement and/or cost-effective measures at branch level to optimize productivity and efficiency e.g. introduce best lab practices to minimize equipment down-time hence, savings on sub-contracting and expensive repairs. Monitor complaints and customer feedbacks at the branch and ensue each operation head handle it accordingly. Recommend policies, plans and procedures to redress adverse variances in activity and maximize revenue and profitability. Build an adequate and competent branch operational team to handle the day-to-day operational business. Set annual KPI to the team and conduct staff performance appraisals. Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) / Operational Integrity requirements are met e.g. ISO17020, ISO17025, ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO45000 etc. Ensure all members of staffs adhere and operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity and local HR policies. Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements. Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management Qualifications Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent. Knowledge in using computer/MS Office is a prerequisite and exposure to Financial / Procurement system (particularly in Oracle based system) is an added advantage. Good interpersonal skill and good track record in the company. Applicants must be based at the main branch office and willing to travel occasionally.
