Description CPC seeks a qualified administrative, fiscal, and clerical staff member to work at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa (NMSAS). Duties and Responsibilities · Provide administrative, fiscal, personnel and office support to all staff members. · Conduct general clerical duties (for example: maintaining records, managing calendars, answering and directing incoming calls; receiving, inventory management, preparing and verifying documents; typing and stenography; tracking shipments; filing; faxing; photocopying; mail and deliveries handling). · Follow up and provide office orientation to new staff on facility/operations. · Use office automation software, including word processing, forms handling, spreadsheet, and graphics support to prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications, operates a keyboard-controlled data entry device. · Provide assistance on operations and administration tasks. · Provide support of the Ocean Center operations. Requirements · Associates Degree from an accredited community college. · Two (2) years of experience working in an office, assisting with administration, and customer service related field. · Experience working with customers and/or general public in responding to requests for information or other assistance. · Demonstrated ability to function as part of a diverse team, often under tight timelines. · Excellent written, oral and organizational skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel on PC. · Fluency in the Samoan language in speaking, reading and writing is preferred.
