Description General Job Summary: Intern will lead and/or assist projects designated by the Administrative Management staff projects include: Essential Job Functions: Assist with the development of organizational policies. Assist in improving system of care. Support Management with special projects. Assist with practice management and electronic health record systems. Coordinate projects as assigned. Perform other duties necessary or in the best interest of the department/organization. Requirements Education/Experience: Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program for Health Services Administration Other Requirements: Travel as needed. Schedules will change as department needs change, including overtime and weekends. Performance Requirements: Knowledge: Knowledge of current healthcare policies. Knowledge of health environment. Knowledge of management techniques and practices. Understanding of the healthcare process. Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA and safety standards. Skills: Strong project and time management skills. Strong teamworking skills. Strong computer skills. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Abilities: Ability to read and understand legal and policy documents. Ability to communicate well with supervisor and other employees. Ability to use academic learning in a practical environment. Ability to establish work priorities.
