THE ROLE

We are seeking an engaging and proactive Administration Manager to lead our Housing Maintenance administration team in Dunedin. This is a critical leadership role, reporting to the Delivery Manager , and plays a key part in shaping and improving our business support functions across the division.
You’ll be responsible for leading a capable team of Administrators, overseeing contract administration and supporting day-to-day operations. Your strong people management skills will be essential, as you guide recruitment, workforce planning, and team development in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a strategic mindset — someone who can operate at a high level while also diving into the detail to support the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of Administrators, providing coaching, support, and guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality performance.
  • Oversee contract administration functions, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and reporting obligations across the Housing Maintenance division.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and workforce planning to build and maintain a strong and capable administration team.
  • Identify operational risks and process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.
  • Represent BGIS in community outreach programmes, attend local events, and engage in public speaking opportunities to support partnerships and visibility.
  • Support the achievement of contract KPIs through effective workload management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Operate across multiple systems (including WMS), ensuring data integrity and consistent delivery of business support functions.
