Job Title: Administrative Medical Assistant  Company: Living Water Clinic-Clinica Agua Viva Location: Multiple sites, California  POSITION OVERVIEW: Living Water Clinic is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Assistant with strong front office and secretarial experience to serve as an all-around assistant for our Medical Director. This unique role blends both clinical and administrative responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to support our mission of providing loving, quality care to our community. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, provide compassionate patient care, and contribute to the clinic’s smooth daily operations. Responsibilities: * Provide medical support under the direction of healthcare providers, including taking vitals, performing injections, assisting with exams, and conducting basic medical procedures (e.g., A1c, ECGs, urine tests, breathing treatments). * Serve as front office support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and ensuring a welcoming environment. * Perform secretarial duties such as drafting correspondence, organizing files, and managing provider calendars. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in our AthenaHealth EMR system. * Assist with billing and coding information for insurance purposes. * Ensure exam rooms are clean, well-stocked, and ready for patients. * Support patients and families by answering questions, providing education, and easing concerns. * Promote teamwork, strong communication, and a patient-first attitude with all staff members. * Uphold patient confidentiality and clinic policies.   Requirements: * 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant with additional front office/secretarial experience strongly preferred. * Bilingual (English/Spanish). * Reliable transportation to travel between multiple clinic sites as needed. * Knowledge of medical regulations, office procedures, and medical billing practices. * Proficiency in (or willingness to learn) Electronic Medical Record systems. * Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills. * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities. * CMA or RMA certification preferred but not required.   Personal Qualities: * Patient-focused, compassionate, and aligned with our clinic’s mission and values. * Dependable, flexible, and willing to adapt between clinical and administrative tasks. * Positive attitude and professional insight. * Team player who can also take initiative independently. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.   Physical Requirements: * Lift up to 20 pounds; push up to 50 pounds (on wheels). * Stand for long periods; bend, squat, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn. * Clear communication skills (in person and over the phone). * Ability to read and work with computer systems, forms, and medical/administrative We Offer:  * Competitive Salary  * Health, Dental, Vision Insurance  * 401(k) Matching * Paid Time Off  * Mon - Fri 8-5  * 4 Paid Holidays  * Opportunity to be part of a growing medical start-up and eligibility for career advancement within the organization to leadership positions.   Living Water Clinic prides itself on providing loving, quality care to our patients.
