Administrative & Office Assistant (In-Office) Location: Fredericksburing, VA; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Organization: RISE Services RISE Services is looking for a dependable Administrative & Office Assistant to help keep our office organized and running smoothly. This role supports daily operations including client communication, administrative systems, and basic office upkeep. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys structured administrative work, attention to detail, and supporting a team in a busy office environment. What This Job Is Really Like This is a hands-on administrative position that includes a variety of responsibilities throughout the day. You may be updating trackers, answering phones, preparing materials for events, or helping maintain shared office spaces. If you enjoy variety, organization, and keeping systems running smoothly, this role can be a great fit. If you are looking for a job where you only work independently at a desk and avoid routine office responsibilities, this position likely will not be the right fit. What You Will Do Administrative Systems Update internal client trackers and administrative records Process Adobe electronic signature documents Maintain mailing lists and mailing labels Organize and manage administrative documents Client Communication Contact clients by phone and email regarding documentation or scheduling Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately Administrative Support Assemble materials for outreach events and transition fairs Support administrative needs for program expansion Help collect client success stories with proper consent Office Operations Check and send outgoing mail daily Maintain shared office spaces (wipe tables and common areas) Take out trash when containers are full and place in outside dumpster This Role Is Likely a Good Fit If You: ✔ Enjoy organizing information and administrative tasks ✔ Have strong attention to detail ✔ Are comfortable speaking with clients professionally ✔ Can manage several small tasks during the day ✔ Are reliable and follow through on routine responsibilities ✔ Are comfortable contributing to a clean and organized office This Role Is Probably Not a Good Fit If You: ✘ Prefer a fully remote position ✘ Do not enjoy administrative or data-entry tasks ✘ Are uncomfortable answering phones or contacting clients ✘ Do not want to assist with routine office responsibilities Skills & Qualifications Required Strong computer and typing skills Professional communication skills Attention to detail and organization Reliable attendance and follow-through Preferred Administrative or office support experience Experience with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Experience with Adobe Acrobat or electronic signature platforms Application Process Qualified candidates will complete a short skills exercise during the interview, which includes: • A short email writing scenario • A brief administrative prioritization exercise • A 5-minute typing test These tasks reflect the types of work performed in this role.
