JOB SUMMARY

Our client in North York is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to ensure efficient operation of the office, assisting with various administrative tasks while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in office software, and a strong commitment to customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for data entry tasks.
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma preferred
    This is a temporary, on-going assignment beginning on Monday Sept 15th for 2-3 weeks at least but may be extended for the right candidate.
    Wage is $22.50/hour plus 4% vacation pay. If still in the position after 3 months the wage will be increased to $24/hour
    This is a 5 day per week in-office position. There is no hybrid or remote work available. Hours of work are 9 am-5:30 pm from Monday-Friday with a 30 minute un-paid lunch break
    Attire is: Smart Casual
    Selected candidate will be required to go through our Client’s Background Check.

Responsibilities
  • Initiating transfers once accounts are opened and identifying gaps
  • Facilitating manual/bulk account opening with our custodian NBIN
  • Responding to emails from advisors and their staff in a timely manner. Ensuring all their questions are answered/problems are resolved as it relates to the transition.
  • Leverage different platforms to deliver on client experience and work out the issues during transition.
  • Other responsibilities dictated by the needs of the business in the area of onboarding and transition management.
