Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol Report In Location - 2284 Marion-Upper Sandusky Rd, Marion 43302 Provide secretarial assistance to Post Commander & other officers assigned to the post by relieving them of routine administrative tasks: Maintain computerized reports & databases (e.g., payroll, criminal cases, crashes, equipment & supplies, requisitions & delivery, vehicle repairs, photo pouches, administrative investigations, forfeiture files, pursuits, training records & monthly weights); Draft, produce, format, or assist in formatting all types of correspondence & may sign (e.g., memos, letters, new releases, administrative action reports, background investigations, personnel records & evaluations, leave requests, associated benefit forms, schedules, etc.); Schedule off duty assignments; Provide orientation & training to others as needed; Enter & verify payroll totals, leave & overtime claimed against the daily schedule & written log of post activity prior to computer entry; Make computer entries & modifications under supervisory direction; Receive invoices (e.g., date stamp, verify charges, record in account book for future payment); Maintain appropriate records for post supplies (e.g., gasoline, rental agreements, phone utilities, dry cleaning, car maintenance, etc.); Perform related clerical tasks (e.g., answer telephone & take messages; screen & direct calls; maintain all post filing; maintain inventory of office supplies & requisitions when needed; greet visitors & direct them to the appropriate staff officer or directly assist them; sort & distributes mail; coordinate court assignments (e.g., forward subpoenas, confirm court dates, check on disposition of cases, etc.)); Perform other related duties as required. 1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications.
