Description
The Division of Fiscal Administration is responsible for capital and operating budgets, Medicaid rate development and rate setting, and several other functions vital to DODD operations. The Fleet and Asset Operations Associate helps keep the agency’s vehicles, equipment, and assets running smoothly. In this role, you’ll support fleet operations, maintain accurate inventory records, assist drivers and travelers, and ensure compliance with state and agency policies. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working with data and processes that support daily operations. What will you do? As the Administrative Professional 3, you will: Inventory Support Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in OAKS Support twice-yearly asset surveys and track completion Monitor timely entry of purchased, transferred, and retired assets Grant or deny retirement of state property in accordance with policy Travel to agency facilities to assist with asset audits Observe and evaluate inventory control procedures and recommend improvements Driver & Fleet Support Assist with fleet risk management and accident reporting Ensure accident documentation is submitted to DAS Risk Management Review ineligible driver reports and verify driver eligibility Support vehicle servicing for assigned fleet vehicles Monitor fleet mailboxes to ensure shared vehicles are ready for use Assist new drivers with DAS Motor Pool system enrollment Maintain and reconcile internal fleet databases (e.g., Geotab data) Review and process personal vehicle travel requests Assist travelers with mileage reporting and reimbursement in OAKS Capital & Developmental Center Improvements Maintain working knowledge of capital asset accounting and surplus policies Assist with capital invoice processing and project tracking Support fixed asset recording for developmental center improvement projects Assist with monthly and quarterly asset reconciliations Financial & Reporting Support Assign vehicle locations and department codes for billing Process auction vehicle payments Maintain fleet and asset documentation for audits Distribute and collect Voyager and payment cards Review reporting data to identify trends and support vehicle assignment decisions At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans.
