We are looking to add to our team by hiring a full-time Administrative Professional. Our business is seven years old and is growing rapidly. We are hoping to find someone who is in it for the long-haul.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a mix of customer service and admin work. This job requires the ability to speak with customers and drivers on the phone, while also being HYPER organized and tracking orders in spreadsheets.
This is a good job for someone who:
- Likes doing a wide variety of tasks each day
- Likes switching between tasks
- Is excellent at prioritizing and time management
You will be on the front line of customer interaction - answering the phone to take floral orders and replying to customer emails. We are a private studio; we do not have a retail store, so you will not be dealing with any customers face-to-face.
This rate of pay is $22/hour. This is a full time position: 40 hours a week. The hours are typically between 8:30am-4:30pm, we are open Monday to Saturday. This position is required to work on Saturdays.
This position involves: managing multiple email inboxes, tracking and tabulating order totals, answering the phone and speaking with potential customers, taking phone orders, organizing delivery schedules and routes with our various couriers, confirming delivery information for orders, handwriting card messages to go with each order, wrapping daily deliveries, and general problem-solving!

Requirements:
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Administrative Professional (with a proven track record of positive results)
- Available to work on weekends and holidays (as needed)
- Must be able to work at our downtown studio (this job cannot be done at home)

This is NOT a position as a floral designer, nor will it become one. Please do not apply to this job as a way to learn more about becoming a florist. We are looking for someone who will grow with the company in the administrative role.
Loving flowers is not a requirement, but you will be sitting about 6 feet away from a shelf full of fresh flowers every day. You will be expected to learn the names of the flowers we use, and may be providing quoting for small events.
