Description The Helton House, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative/Quality Assurance Assistant at our office in Rice, VA. This is an on-site Monday to Friday day shift position. The Administrative/Quality Assurance Assistant provides support to the administrative staff by processing clerical duties to enable them to concentrate their efforts on customer service. Duties may include photocopying, filing, mail sorting and distribution, receptionist duties, and data entry. The successful candidate will be familiar with administrative concepts, practices, and procedures. This position requires the ability to work independently, accomplish goals, excellent customer service and communication skills, creativity, patience and flexibility. The Administrative/Quality Assurance Assistant will rely on guidelines established by the organization to perform job functions and work under general supervision in a moderately fast paced environment. Requirements Education & Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of office experience. Must have full understanding of office processes and well developed inter-personal skills. Must have a pleasant and professional appearance and attitude and work well with others. Required Job Knowledge & Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Reliable attendance record Good problem solving skills Ability to learn and stay current with relevant policies Computer proficiency a must - Excel, Word and Adobe experience preferred Detail oriented and well organized Ability to perform under pressure in a calm manner High degree of accuracy Positive attitude Flexible Team player Responsibilities include: Provide excellent, accurate service Greet and welcome visitors with a friendly demeanor, answer questions and direct appropriately Receive telephone calls and provide assistance or take accurate messages as appropriate Answer phone and forward calls to the appropriate parties Assist with special projects Maintain accurate files Receive, sort and distribute mail Other duties as assigned
