Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is a small business contract manufacturer providing complete in-house capabilities, including machining, US Navy-certified welding, wiring, assembly, and testing. GSM-built equipment is on every US Navy submarine. GSM has 5-axis machining up to 33ft long or 82in diameter and welding up to 35,000lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or related role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionally personable with strong interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset.
  • Attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities or demands.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a professional and organized Administrative Receptionist to join our Administrative team. As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, the successful candidate will create a welcoming environment while managing essential front desk responsibilities. In this full-time, hourly role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing administrative support and maintaining efficient communication within the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized calendar for office meetings and events.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and filing.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing shipments or deliveries.
  • Coordinate vendor or maintenance services as needed, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Handle general inquiries, providing accurate information about the organization’s services or policies.
  • Support other administrative tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
