Job Details Job Location: Jackson Office - Jackson, TN 38305 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $30,000.00 Salary/year Job Category: Health Care Position Summary The Floater provides coverage and support for Office Managers, Medical Receptionists, and Medical Assistants across the agency. This position is designed to ensure continuity of operations during staff absences. The Floater will assume the duties of the role being covered, adapting to the office's needs and maintaining a high standard of professionalism, efficiency, and patient care. This is a flexible position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with diverse staff and patients. Key Responsibilities General Coverage Duties Provide coverage for Office Managers, Medical Receptionists, or Medical Assistants as assigned. Quickly adapt to different work settings and job functions. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations. Support smooth office operations and contribute to positive patient and staff experiences. When Covering Office Manager Duties: Oversee daily office operations and workflow in the manager’s absence. Assist with staff scheduling, task assignments, and general office coordination. Handle basic administrative reporting, documentation, and problem-solving. Serve as a point of contact for staff and patients when managerial guidance is required. When Covering Medical Receptionist Duties: Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Manage check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting and updating patient information. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and route messages as appropriate. Verify insurance information, process payments, and assist with front-desk clerical tasks. When Covering Medical Assistant Duties: Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs, medical history, and other intake information. Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with clinical procedures as directed. Manage clinical documentation and ensure accurate entry into the electronic health record system. Support patient care by performing basic clinical tasks (e.g., taking vitals, preparing supplies, and providing instructions to patients). Working Conditions May rotate between administrative and clinical duties depending on assignment. Work hours may vary based on coverage needs. Requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical or administrative training preferred. Previous experience in a medical office setting strongly preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records and medical office software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in varied environments. Flexibility to travel between locations if needed.
