Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Registration, Switchboard and Patient Information (RSPI) and Health Information Records Management, the Administrative Support II serves as a front facing contact for the Patient Information desk and must have strong attention to detail. This position is responsible for supporting patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and other stakeholders throughout the facility with a positive and professional image while greeting and wayfinding. The incumbent is responsible for activating hospital codes and managing the coordination and maintenance of AHS pagers for healthcare providers. In accordance with Health Information Act (HIA), Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP) and other privacy legislation in effect the incumbent shall comply at all times with APL / AHS’s Information Privacy and Information Security policies while providing empathetic, professional customer service during their interactions. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform repetitive keyboarding. Operate a multi-line telephone system while wearing a headset. Ability to remain calm in highly stressful and dynamic situations. Critical thinking and focused problem-solving skills. Prioritizing and multitasking. Providing excellent customer service in every interaction. Demonstrate proficient verbal and written communication. Train and mentor new employees and students.
