Job Description An Administrative Technician provides administrative support to Managers, Foremen, Supervisors, represented employees and Union officials. Must be able to maintain manual and electronic files, perform general office support functions, answer phones, take messages, mail distribution, input data electronically, fax and photocopying duties, furniture moving, records retention assignments and mail distribution. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with distractions, have the ability to multi-task and possess good people skills. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Administrative Technician ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. Key Responsibilities Working with Maximo (Maintenance Management system). Close out work orders input data. Make work orders from notes. Manage overtime sheets and calling for O/T. Create work orders when needed. Data entry of OCDL’ Time card corrections. Weld wire ordering. Approval of service requests. File and organize employee files. Office supply ordering and inventory. WFM time keeping. Required/Preferred Education/Training High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree in Administrative Business field preferred. Required/Preferred Experience Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of People soft, WFM, Maximo a plus but not required. Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook a plus.
