This full-time maternity leave temporary replacement position is presently available and is expected to last until the end of the leave, at Riverside School Board offices, located at 7525 Chemin de Chambly, in Saint-Hubert. The successful candidate will be a member of the Human Resources team and will report to the Director of Human Resources.
NATURE OF WORK: The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in performing various technical tasks related to the management of human resources, development and implementation of standards and activities related to administrative operations. As part of his or her duties, the employee may assist administrative, technical support staff and administrators.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Hold a Diploma of College Studies in Business Administration with an option appropriate for the class of employment, or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in English and French, written and spoken.
  • The candidate must have good organizational skills and be autonomous.
  • Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel are also required.
  • Knowledge of GRH-Paie and GRH-Poste, an asset;
    SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 60-minute meal break.
    SALARY: $947.45 to $1264.90 per 35-hour week, according to qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
  • The employee is responsible for the pay system.
  • They produce income tax slips and annual reports e.g., income tax statements, payroll analysis, etc.
  • They follow up on legal as well as technical changes and/or updates to the pay system.
  • The employee will work closely with the Financial Resources Department and will be responsible for periodic remittances.
  • Informs staff of various matters dealing with collective agreements in link with remuneration for all categories of employment.
  • Develops and adapts work methods and procedures and oversees their application in the context of the delivery of the current activities in the Pay department.
  • Resolving all special cases.
  • Working closely with the Finance Department concerning salary accounts.
  • Works with others on the analysis of needs in material resources, participates in developing standards and oversees their application.
  • Applies or adapts management techniques to the delivery of specific administrative activities and current operations.
  • Prepares reports intended for the organizations concerned and ensures the distribution. He or she uses a computer and the necessary software to perform his or her duties.
  • Conducts research on the Internet and may be required to assist a staff member with software specific to his or her work.
  • May be required to train less experienced technicians as well as coordinate the work of support staff in performing duties related to the implementation of programs involving technical operations for which he or she is responsible.
  • If need be, he or she performs any other related duty.
