Job Description This Administrative Technician position is to support the Planning Department. Administrative Technician generally provide administrative support to Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, represented employees and Union officials. Key responsibilities may entail, but are not limited to: Maintain manual and electronic files Perform general office support functions Answer phones, take messages Distribute mail Input data electronically Fax and photocopy Move / arrange furniture / office equipment Be responsible for record retention Be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with distractions Have the ability to multi-task and possess good people skills. Required/Preferred Education/Training High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree in Administrative Business field preferred. Required/Preferred Experience Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and typing skills of 80 WPM. Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail with accuracy. Effective oral and written communication skills. Candidate must be highly motivated with a proven ability to work independently. Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment. Banking/administrative experience preferred. Must be capable of working in any type of environment including, but not limited to, offices, warehouses, outside, and in manufacturing environments.
