Description The Assistant Director of Main Street Radiology collaborates closely with the Director to oversee daily operations, strategic initiatives, and the overall performance of the imaging facility. This role is responsible for ensuring excellence in patient care, adherence to regulatory standards, operational efficiency, and professional development across all departments—including clinical and non-clinical personnel, marketing, and information technology. As a key member of the leadership team, the Assistant Director promotes clinical quality, enhances patient satisfaction, and supports the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Radiologic Sciences, Business Administration, or related field required Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, or related) preferred Experience Minimum 3–5 years of experience in radiology/imaging center operations Prior supervisory or leadership experience required Strong knowledge of outpatient imaging workflows and modalities Certifications ARRT - ARDMS - certification or Medical License (Nurse-PA etc) (if clinically licensed) preferred BLS certification (if applicable) Advanced certifications (e.g., CRA, CRA/FA, or imaging-specific credentials) are a plus Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of PACS/RIS systems and EMR platforms Understanding of insurance processes, authorizations, and billing practices Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions Outpatient clinical setting May require occasional evenings or weekends depending on operational needs Ability to respond to urgent operational issues as needed Reporting Structure Reports directly to: Director of Imaging / Center Administrator Supervises: Technologists, front desk staff, and support personnel (as assigned)
