Benmet Steel & Metal is a leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry located in Guelph, Stratford and Owen Sound, Ontario. We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.
The Administrator is responsible for all functional activities related to operating in a scrap metal scale house. In this capacity, the Administrator is trained to handle the daily duties of operating the weigh scale, verifying and processing payments for customers.
This exciting role has a variety of tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide customer service and administrative support to our team to ensure all activities are maintained in a fast-pace environment. All training will be provided and growth within the company is supported and encouraged.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Various administrative duties
  • Operate the Weigh Scale
  • Build relationships with customers and grow through service.
  • Verifies and processes payment types
  • Answer scale house/office telephones for customer inquiries
  • File scale tickets and ensure accuracy of grading and weights
  • Respond to customer concerns
  • Handle cash payments and settlements
  • Perform end of day reconciliation

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, data entry and quick to learn new program
