Job description Full time; office based; London competitive salary Brett Wilson is recruiting a full-time assistant to help with both client and office related admin. The successful applicant will work alongside the firm’s lawyers to help ensure the smooth running of the firm. The role will be based at our offices in Farringdon, EC1. The successful applicant’s responsibilities will include: Greeting clients and preparing beverages Maintaining the upkeep of the office and reception area Delivering and collecting post Liaising with office suppliers and contractors Analysing the firm’s data and reporting to the partners Answering general telephone enquiries Assisting with credit control Assisting with diary management Taking and acknowledging payments and updating client account ledgers Preparing and sending tailored client invoices Opening and archiving client files Scanning and e-filing incoming and outgoing correspondence Any other reasonable requests from the Practice Manager or the firm’s lawyers. The successful candidate The successful applicant must have excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills and have a keen attention to detail. It is also essential that applicants have excellent IT skills including intermediate levels of Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF and Excel. This role will include a number of responsibilities, therefore, the successful applicant will be required to have a proactive and organised approach to workload. This role is key to the smooth day-to-day running of the firm, so it is important that the applicant is personable and approachable. Whilst this the firm welcomes applications from law graduates and the role is likely to offer invaluable experience, candidates should understand that this is an administrative rather than paralegal role.
