YOU WILL BE SELF EMPLOYED WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO DECLARE YOUR SELF EMPLOYED STATUS, FILE A SELF ASSESSMENT TAX RETURN AND IF YOU CHOOSE, PAY A NOMINAL RATE FOR NATIONAL INSURANCE.

Hours: 36 -40 hours a month.
Pay: £12.24 per hour. Approx. £5875 per year depending on hours worked and invoices sent to the treasurer
Schedule: Day shift flexible – working from home
One Saturday morning quarterly 9.am – 12pm (Trustee/Management meeting)
One weekday evening quarterly 6.30 pm – 7pm (Interim Management meeting)
AGM event usually in March. Personal attendance is required to take minutes and give an annual report in Storrington, West Sussex.
This role would be suited to anyone with administrative experience who is looking for a part time position to help this worthwhile charitable organisation.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As the Administrator for Sage Counselling you’ll play a pivotal role in providing support to our clients and counsellors. Working remotely from home, also attending quarterly and interim meetings via Zoom, and attending an in-person meeting for the AGM annually in Storrington.

DUTIES

  • First point of contact for clients and other enquiries via calls and emails.
  • You will be given the dedicated mobile phone for Sage Counselling to receive and make calls and messages.
  • Arrange the first meeting between client and counsellor.
  • Take payments via Square.
  • Monitor and updates confidential client data on an excel spreadsheet.
  • Carry out admin duties such as emails, data entry filing, and photocopying.
  • Attend (via video call) quarterly management and interim meetings and prepare a report of admin activity.
  • Takes the minutes of quarterly and interim management meetings.
  • Liaise with website administrators to ensure website content is updated.
  • Attend monthly meetings with Sage Counselling Coordinator/Supervisor.
  • Twice yearly - Manage the recruitment of new students and trained counsellors, which includes: sending out adverts: receiving applications: checking DBS certificates and references: setting up interviews; and collating interview packs.
  • Help with publicity under the supervision of our Publicity Officer.
