Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serves as liaison between Governing Body and Facility Personnel
  • Implementing performance improvement initiatives to ensure that residents are continuously improving
  • Directing and monitoring compliance with federal and state regulations and laws
  • Coordinating compliance with established policies and procedures’
  • Maintaining strong positive relationships with resident, families, personnel, physicians, and the community
  • Allocating resources to effectively carry out facility programs
  • Recruiting, hiring, and training competent and committed staff
  • Fostering cooperative rapport with and between departments fostering the importance of each staff member’s contributions to the facility
  • Positioning the facility to operate in a successful manner

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure in the state in which practicing
  • Ability to implement facility philosophy of care
  • Current knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations
  • Maintain neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance
  • Dependability
  • Strong skills in communication, management, organization, problem solving
  • Understanding of standard financial statements
  • Strong computer skills
