Description

HOP have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced aspiring or accomplished Administrator to join our friendly support team. Day to day duties include providing administrative and secretarial support across Engineering project teams and the company as a whole. Due to the nature of the role, it will be a full-time office-based.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertaking transcription/audiotyping, proof-reading and formatting for letters/reports and other ‘pooled admin tasks’ for Engineering teams as required. Ensuring all typed work conforms to HOP templates and standards.
  • Undertaking document editing for Engineering teams as required including letters, reports and invoices.
  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with clients.
  • Providing cover for other members of the administrative/secretarial team including reception duties, meeting and greeting clients and other visitors.

Additional duties:

  • Undertaking general admin duties.

Skills and abilities:

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong numerical skills and competent in Excel.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, especially Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by e-mail, letter, telephone and verbally.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an admin support role; transcribing/document production and proof-reading.
  • Experience in a client facing role.
  • Numerate with finance experience being beneficial.
  • Experience using Adobe suite advantageous.

  • Reliability and integrity required when dealing with confidential information.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to support wider admin team.
