Avalon Care Center Federal Way is hiring for an Administrator in Training (AIT)! Join our team to gain hands-on leadership experience in skilled nursing and grow our health care career. Skilled nursing experience, and leadership experience are a plus! WAGE IS $78,000 - $85,000/YR The Administrator in Training (AIT) is responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to become a licensed nursing home administrator. The AIT will work closely with the current administrator and other members of the management team to gain experience in all aspects of running a skilled nursing facility. RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility * Learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities * Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures * Participate in staff meetings and training sessions * Assist with the hiring and training of new staff members * Assist with the management of resident care and services * Assist with the management of the facility's budget and financial operations * Assist with the management of the facility's physical plant and equipment * Assist with the management of the facility's marketing and public relations efforts QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field * Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities * Ability to work flexible hours as needed
