Mervyn Sharp Bennion Veterans Home is hiring for an Administrator in Training (AIT) to join our team!   The Administrator in Training (AIT) is responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to become a licensed nursing home administrator. The AIT will work closely with the current administrator and other members of the management team to gain experience in all aspects of running a skilled nursing facility. RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility * Learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities * Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures * Participate in staff meetings and training sessions * Assist with the hiring and training of new staff members * Assist with the management of resident care and services * Assist with the management of the facility's budget and financial operations * Assist with the management of the facility's physical plant and equipment * Assist with the management of the facility's marketing and public relations efforts QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field * Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities * Ability to work flexible hours as needed
