Company Description Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking an Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support to the Global Partnerships and Development team and the Associate Director within our International Office. This role is well-suited for someone connected to the university or a former student with overseas experience seeking part-time work. Ideally, you will have a strong service orientation and a natural ability to connect and build relationships with those around you. Your responsibilities will include: Providing administrative support for international programs, including handling inquiries and promoting student mobility programs. Coordinating logistics for student events, staff orientations, and international visitor itineraries. Managing financial administration, such as purchase orders, invoice processing, and expense tracking. Delivering operational support for travel arrangements, documentation, filing systems, and office supplies. This is a part-time, 20 hours per week (0.53 FTE), 12-month fixed-term position. We offer flexibility regarding which days you work or the length of your shifts to help you balance other commitments. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, allowing you to handle sensitive information and challenging situations with a calm, professional approach. Ideally, you are proficient in Microsoft Office and can quickly learn new systems, and you are a proactive learner who thrives in collaborative environments. While not essential, a relevant tertiary qualification and previous experience working within tertiary education or international settings would be highly regarded. Preferably, some exposure to tertiary education or international environments, which could include being a current student or someone who has been on an international student exchange programme. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information and a variety of situations and deadlines calmly. High level of attention to detail, organisational ability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
