Our Global Operating Center located in Manila is pivotal to enhancing the Firm’s operational efficiency and streamlining legal and business services support across our global network. The Senior Assistant, Engagement & Development will primarily focus on providing essential support to the team, assisting with various tasks involving Learning & Development, Mobility, and Partner Development elements. As the role develops, the Senior Assistant, Talent will increasingly engage with more complex projects based on their developing expertise. There may be occasions to evaluate and select suitable alternatives from defined options during routine work. Analysing information to assist the team could also be required. Assisting the team with information analysis and solutions for recruitment-related issues is also a crucial part of this role. The roles and responsibilities of this job include: Provides comprehensive support to the Talent team, able to perform more complex or non-routine administrative tasks across elements of Learning & Development, Mobility, and Partner Development to ensure smooth delivery of Talent processes, projects and record-keeping Collaborates with team members to complete assigned tasks and projects, help to deliver Talent programmes Maintains accurate and up-to-date Talent records, ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations Prepares and distributes Talent-related communications such as memos, notices, and newsletters to support the team in implementing initiatives or managing standard employee enquiries Assists in the analysis of Talent data and information, identifying trends and insights to support decision-making and process improvement initiatives Evaluates and selects appropriate solutions for routine Talent enquiries, exercising judgment within established guidelines and escalating to senior colleagues as necessary Maintains a strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures, staying updated on changes and developments in the field No supervisory responsibilities but may help train new members of the team and serve as an informal resource (use for support functions) Incumbents are likely to be recent graduates developing their practical knowledge, so receive close guidance and oversight from more senior colleagues (use for professional functions) Good theoretical knowledge or practical understanding of work routines and procedures in own job Ability to work fairly independently within established guidelines and procedures with guidance from more senior roles, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to problem - solving Developing analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and select appropriate alternatives from defined options in routine work Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross - functional teams and stakeholders Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline This role reports to Manager, HR Shared Services Equal Opportunities White & Case is committed to creating a fair workplace.
