Description
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for preparing and processing weekly payroll. This role is also responsible for the set up and termination of employees, maintain pay rates, on-going employee maintenance, and union reporting. Additionally, the Payroll Administrator will assist the Payroll Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining payroll policies, procedures, and forms. Reports To Payroll Supervisor * Process weekly payroll for 1200+ salaried and hourly union and non-union employees (11 payrolls-3 union, 8 non-union) * Review employees’ time input for accuracy and compliance with union rules and labor laws by using ADP * Audit payroll entries for discrepancies before submitted payroll * Provide union monthly reporting to union contacts * Maintain all payroll records in accordance with State and Federal requirements * Ability to respond to employee inquires and complex issues * Receive, respond, and process wage assignments, court ordered garnishments, tax levies, bankruptcies, employment verifications, and unemployment claims * Manage all employment verifications * Assist with payroll related projects as required Qualifications * A degree from an accredited college/university is preferred or 2+ years of payroll processing experience in lieu of a degree * Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing using a major payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor, Workday, Gusto, Paychex, OnPay, SurePayroll, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.) * ADP Time & Attendance experience is preferred * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Vlookup & pivot tables) * Detailed oriented with ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy * Quickly and easily adapt to change and shifting priories with enthusiasm * Strong problem solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven and fast paced environment * High level of integrity with the ability to maintain complete confidentiality
