This role is responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, including answering calls and emails, scheduling surveys, and maintaining customer records and service logs. The Administrator supports the service team by preparing job documentation, coordinating engineer schedules, and ensuring that invoices and quotations are accurately created and recorded. Daily tasks also include data entry, file organisation (digital and paper), updating internal systems, and liaising with customers, sub-contractors and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner. QualificationsStrong administrative skills, including data entry, document management, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g. email, spreadsheets, word processing) and ability to learn company-specific systems.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, engineers, and suppliers.
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities, including prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in scheduling, billing, and documentation.
  • Previous experience in an office or service-based environment is beneficial; experience in heating, plumbing or construction sectors is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Northampton, collaborate with a team, and maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills; formal qualifications in administration, business, or a related field are a plus but not essential.
