Description:

The Department of Learner and Curriculum Administration plays a vital role in the College’s ability to respond to local and regional business needs whilst serving the community we are so proudly a part of. The provision of a high quality support service across the College is therefore central to our success and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to work with us to achieve our future goals.
Learner and Curriculum Administration are seeking to appoint two Administrators for our Curriculum Support and Learner Services Administration Teams. The Department provides a high quality support service across the College, as well as being a point of contact for learners, parents, employers and other organisations. The busy and varied role require a personable, customer focussed, highly organised individual, who can confidently deal with a wide range of queries and demands. The ability to be clear and assertive whilst remaining calm, composed, tactful and flexible is essential. You should have strong IT skills and experience of working with information systems to enter and maintain data, where attention to detail is a key requirement. You should be qualified to Level 2 in a relevant subject area.
At Preston College our vision is ‘to transform lives through education’, and we take great pride in supporting all of our learners to achieve the qualifications they need, alongside the development of technical skills and knowledge that employers and universities are looking for.
We are rated Good by Ofsted and are the only College in Lancashire to have been recognised as making a ‘strong’ contribution to skills. We are ambitious in seeking excellent outcomes for our students, communities, employers and staff.

We have a strong College culture, underpinned by five key values developed with our diverse body of staff;

  • Welcoming and inclusive
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • Aspirational for our learners, ourselves and each other
  • Act with integrity and transparency
  • Be accountable

With Good financial health, the College provides generous terms and conditions that are intended to attract, motivate and retain the best people in delivery of our strategic objectives.
Our Board of Governors is committed to an ambitious Three Year Plan, which sets out our aspirations from 2023 to 2026.

ABOUT US:

Our mission to inspire, educate and support our diverse community to reach its potential. This reflects what we aim to do every day. We pride ourselves on our community focus, with a diverse mix of learners and staff, and plan our curriculum and other activities to give everyone the chance to truly achieve what they are capable of. We believe that we are inspirational in what we do, and that the support we offer to both our learners and our staff is second to none.
