ADMINISTRATOR

We’re hiring for a super varied role with a local Town Council - 4 days a week (Mon-Fri, 28 hours).
As Administrator you’ll be supporting the Town Mayor and their team with administration tasks, while also leading the planning and smooth running of on-site council events.
This is the perfect part-time role for someone super organised, proactive, and confident juggling both administrative duties and event coordination.
Salary band £26,835 - £28,163 pro rata depending on experience

Key responsibilities for the Administrator include,

  • Provide administrative assistance including responding to invites, updating records & organising Mayoral visits/events
  • First point of contact for all enquiries
  • Organise all council ceremonial events and civic functions
  • Actively participate in on-site event management ensuring smooth operations for attendees
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers and community stakeholders as required to ensure successful event partnerships
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as required

The ideal Administrator will need the following,

  • Previous office-based administrative experience
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with a good eye for detail
  • Previous experience of planning, managing and running multiple events essential
  • Good written and oral communication and presentational & reporting skills using relevant IT programs
  • Need a flexible approach along with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload
  • Knowledge of how a council operates or a similar size commercial business operates useful but not essential

Note that this is a part-time 28 hours a week administration position which could suit someone with excellent event planning skills
