EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Essential - GCSE or equivalent certification in English and Maths, Grades A-C.

KNOWLEDGE (DESIRABLE)

The basics of how a GP Practice functions
Use of SystemOne although training will be given to the successful candidate
Clinical Coding (Read Coding)
GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Basic Health & Safety within the workplace.

SKILLS (ESSENTIAL)

Excellent IT skills, particularly proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent verbal, written communication.
Excellent organisation including the ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
Ability to work independently using own initiative.
Effective team player.

SKILLS (DESIRABLE)

Transferrable skills from a previous employment with similar expectations

EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)

Minimum 1 year in administration preferably in a medical environment

Responsibilities
  • Management of medical records
  • Administrative support - processing of electronic documents
  • Provide cover and support to Secretarial Team
  • Handling of incoming and outgoing emails, patient and hospital correspondence
  • Customer Service/Effective Communication
    Experience of working as part of a team but also the ability to work independently when required. Experience of the various Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Experience of SystmOne would be advantageous although training will be provided to the successful candidate. Position is 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, between the hours of 8.30am - 5.30pm
