Description:
OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Director, Operational Control and Reporting (OCR), the role of the Administrator, Operational Control and Reporting is to complete insurance carrier statement reconciliations to the company Broker Management System and make necessary adjustments. In addition, the Operational Control and Reporting Administrator will perform other routine accounting transactions using company systems and Microsoft Excel. This is a Full-Time internship for the summer term.
QUALIFICATIONS
Student in the domain of Finance or Accounting or Insurance .
Strong computer skills.
Post-secondary education is an asset.
Experience working in a customer service environment is preferred.
Availability to work various shifts and days of the week as required.
Ability to handle fluctuating work volumes in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to work Full-Time until end of August.
Responsibilities:
Complete insurance carrier statement reconciliations to company Broker Management System and make necessary adjustments.
Match transactions between insurance carrier statements and internal company systems.
Identify correcting transactions and determine if correcting entries are required.
Work with the Web Apps team to analyze the commission reconciliation process and provide feedback on system performance and identifyareas for improvements.
Support OCR team to compile broker commission statements and summaries.
Work with the Web Apps team to automate the reconciliation of merchant services payments to the company Broker Management System.
Execute all administrative responsibilities within the applicable quality standards set by the company.
Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable portals, customer relationship management systems, and policy management systems.
Manage daily workload in accordance with company standards.
Exhibit accountability with regards to handling assigned work, including following up within the appropriate time frames and referring files requiring approval or assistance for handling.
Respond favorably to all coaching and training provided, make use of self-coaching tools where available, and actively participate in your Employee Quarterly Check-Ins with your Team Leader.
Perform other duties as assigned.
