YOUR ROLE

Are you looking for an opportunity that allows you to apply your knowledge and passion for administration in a social justice, legal setting in an exciting work environment?
The Policy Reform & Legislation (PRL) branch is looking for a Administration Coordinator who brings enthusiasm and drive to join the team. This role does not manage/supervise others,
The PRL branch sits within the Law Reform and Legal Services Division of the Department. The Branch contributes to the development of policy for the justice system and to delivering government reform priorities, including complex legislative reform projects.

This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment and contribute to initiatives that shape impactful reform.
We are a high-volume, sometimes repetitive, customer focused work environment, where no two days are the same. We work closely together, with on-going support and personal development encouraged.

In this role you will:

  • Provide secretariat support for key meetings and ensure the smooth delivery of day-to-day administrative operations.
  • Coordinate branch training and maintain a training schedule for the year

  • Plan and coordinate two major branch-wide events annually
  • Organise stakeholder roundtables and internal meetings, including preparation of agendas and minutes
  • Maintain internal systems and records to track correspondence and staff movements
  • Support effective internal communication and collaboration within the branch
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues and follow up outstanding actions
  • Work independently and as part of a team
