JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions and Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full student admissions lifecycle while ensuring strict adherence to all provincial and federal regulations, with a specific focus on student funding programs and institutional reporting requirements. This role is critical for maintaining our operational integrity and providing a seamless experience for our students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Proven experience in an admissions or compliance role within the post-secondary education sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with PARIS and KPI reporting, including the ability to gather, analyze, and report on key data metrics.
  • Extensive knowledge of the application processes, policies, and regulations for OSAP and Better Jobs Ontario.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with student information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment, including application review, student interviews, and issuance of acceptance letters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for student applicants regarding admissions and funding inquiries.
  • Administer and process applications for government student financial assistance, with a deep understanding of the rules for OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) and Better Jobs Ontario.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports, including PARIS (Provincial Annual Reporting and Information System) and other KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports to relevant government bodies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential student records, both physical and digital, ensuring data accuracy and privacy.
  • Conduct regular audits of student files to ensure compliance with all institutional policies and government regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to government funding programs, reporting requirements, and educational compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
