Hearthwood Senior Living is recruiting for a hospitality focused Admissions Coordinator to join our team!   Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an Admissions Coordinator: * Obtains referrals from hospital social workers, physicians, or family members keeping wait lists current. * Functions as the Health Center public relations person, providing tours of the facility and pertinent information regarding admissions as well as occasional off-site visits to hospitals and doctor’s offices. * Conducts admission interviews with the resident and/or responsible party, obtaining all required financial data, signatures, pertinent social information and medical information, attending physician information, and other pertinent and required documentation prior to admission. * Reviews all admission related paperwork with the resident and or/responsible party including Medicare Part A coverage and non-coverage procedures. Maintains all nonmedical record related paperwork in an admissions file for each resident. * Maintains on-going census activity such as admissions, discharges, deaths, room transfers, changes in payment methods, and temporary and permanent apartment status.  Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred. * 1–3 years of experience in healthcare admissions, intake coordination, or customer service, preferably in senior living, skilled nursing, or hospital discharge settings. * Good working knowledge of Medicare Part A and certification procedures. Experience in a long-term care setting desired.
