Description Department: Enrollment Management Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Director of Undergraduate Admission Grade/Level: Amount of Travel Required: Regular Travel Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00, Regular evening, weekend, and as assigned Positions Supervised: None POSITION SUMMARY The primary role of an Admission Counselor is to facilitate the successful enrollment of students to the undergraduate program. The position performs duties to identify and recruit prospective students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Represents the College at various recruitment events. Monitoring all aspects of the enrollment process for students from assigned geographic regions. Reviews admission applications and admits eligible students Visits high schools within assigned regions Provide accurate and timely information for the student and their family Corresponds with students regarding application status, upcoming events, financial aid, housing, testing and registering. Maintains communication records in Slate (CRM) Leads individual meetings with all campus guests from assigned territory Presents at on-campus programs Support large campus visit programs including Presidential Scholarship weekend, Raven days, Open House, and Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration Requirements Competency Statement(s) Accurate- Accuracy looks at the extent to which an individual’s work is correct and error free within company policies and guidelines. Ambition- Ambition looks at the extent to which an individual demonstrates drive and initiative in seeking personal advancement or recognition. Communication, Oral- Oral Communication skills looks at the extent to which an individual communicates with economy and clarity, actively engaging in conversations in order to clearly understand others' message and intent, and receives and processes feedback. Communication, Written -Written communication skills looks at the extent to which an individual writes concise, clear letters, reports, articles, or e-mails, including proofing and editing. Detail Oriented-Detail orientation looks at the ability of the individual to pay meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task, no matter how small or seemingly unimportant. Judgment - The skill of judgment looks at the ability of the individual to form sound opinions or make decisions by evaluating available information. Organized - Organizational skills looks at the ability of the individual to be structured and methodical in working skills. Persistence - Persistence looks at the ability of the individual to continue in a course of action in the face of adversity.
